Yes, but is it a costume?

Here it is - I finished it at 5:30am this morning (background art courtesy of the Short One). I like it, but I feel that in my determination to get something practically wearable after Halloween out of it, I sort of short-changed the whole costume aspect of the thing. Well, hopefully, the Short One will be happy with it, anyway. I think it's clear who he's going as for Halloween, no? So, I may be asleep during the party, but at least he has a costume something to wear.

I'm going to go pass out now...

ps. The SO tends to be faster than the shutter speed of our camera, but I'll try to get a photo of him wearing this for Halloween.

Thank you! The party went just fine, although it was too hot for the SO to wear the hat in a room crowded with parents and kids running around manically. Still, he looked cute and a couple Mom's identified him correctly, anyway. I swear up and down I'm going to start his costume earlier next year, but, truthfully, I'll probably forget before October comes around again. I never learn!

Don't worry, I'd say it's definately a costume - and a fabtastic one at that! Great buttons, too :o)

PS If you would genuinely like a teeny PG monkey, I'd be happy to post one to you (assuming I can find another in the shops, but I should think that would be possible. And we do need to go to a supermarket very soon, as the cupboards are bare after our week away!) Let me know, and I will see what I can do.

Adorable! Just adorable! Did you pass out your business card? I'm sure the Moms/Grandmas are frantically looking for a similar hat and sweater right this moment! (I know that I/my mom would be)

WMK - I don't think I could survive making another one before Halloween!! Thank you - I'm glad you think it looks like a real costume.

VC - wow, what a generous offer. If it's not too late, and they're still available, I'd love to arrange for one. I can be reached at strandsofbeads@yahoo.com to discuss.

Thanks!

Hi Melissa! First, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving niceties about my skull beads. Your skull charms are wonderful, too. (I'm a big skull fan!) You grew up in Okiehoma?? Yes it IS a small world! I "got paroled" as I like to call it, and lived on the west coast for about 16 months...it was heaven. Did you get out? :)

This cookie monster sweater outfit is so darn cute!! Your knitting is wonderful (I saw more in previous posts)!

We both got mentioned on Art Bead Scene today...did you see? It's a first for me. I'm thrilled!! :)

Hi Christie! Thanks for stopping by.

I haven't lived full-time in Oklahoma since I was a teenager (I stayed mostly on the East Coast, though - I never lived in California).

Thanks for your comments on the costume! I really should've started it a week earlier than I did, but I'm glad I finished it in time.

Art Bead Scene rocks! It's really one of my favorite bead/jewelry related sites. I love skull beads, too, any time of the year.
